Build the trip around the published show dates
The published dates for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, also known as FLIBS, are October 28 through November 1, 2026. The International Yacht Brokers Association’s 2026 event listing publishes those dates. Use them as the starting point for your travel plan, then confirm your own appointments and venue access before finalizing pickup times. A vehicle reservation covers ground transportation; arrange show admission, exhibitor credentials and yacht viewing appointments separately.
For a useful transport schedule, work backward from your first appointment rather than the flight’s scheduled landing. Include baggage collection, any immigration processing, hotel check-in and the time needed to reach the agreed entrance. If your team has setup work before October 28 or meetings after November 1, list those travel days separately. That makes it easier to distinguish airport transfers from the hourly blocks needed during the show itself.
FLL arrivals: confirm the flight and first destination
For an arrival at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), provide the airline, flight number, arrival date, passenger names and a reachable mobile number. Say whether the first stop is your hotel, a meeting or a show venue. Dispatch also needs the number of suitcases and any oversized cases, so the vehicle choice accounts for luggage as well as seats. Do not assume a car sized for three passengers will also fit exhibition materials or several large equipment cases.
Agree on curbside or meet-and-greet arrangements when reserving. After landing, follow the confirmed pickup instructions and contact dispatch if your terminal or baggage collection changes. An airport pickup time should allow for leaving the terminal; it should not imply you can step directly from the aircraft into the vehicle. If a client needs to check in or change before a yacht appointment, include the hotel stop in the reservation rather than adding it at the curb.
MIA and PBI arrivals: plan each flight separately
Miami International Airport (MIA) and Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) arrivals can also be planned around a Fort Lauderdale show itinerary. Give each traveler a separate arrival record with the airport code, flight number and destination. Two people landing at different airports need separate pickup plans, even if they share a hotel and attend the same afternoon meeting. Confirm the regional transfer quote before booking and leave room for traffic and airport processing.
For international clients, ask whether they prefer to go directly to the hotel before meeting the broker. Keep the return journey on the itinerary too: specify the departure airport, flight and requested airport arrival time. A show closing time is not a suitable departure pickup time unless it leaves enough time for the drive and airline requirements. Avoid treating a transfer from PBI or MIA as interchangeable with an FLL transfer; the pickup location and journey differ.
Hotel-to-show transfers along the Intracoastal
Plan hotel transfers to show venues along the Intracoastal using the exact entrance provided with your appointment or admission instructions. Send the hotel’s full name and street address, the venue or meeting destination, and the entrance where the guest will meet the broker or exhibitor. If the appointment only identifies a yacht or berth, ask the host for the appropriate landside meeting point before reserving. A chauffeur drop-off should be a practical place to leave the vehicle safely and continue to the appointment.
For the return, agree on a reachable pickup point and a communication plan. The exit you use after a yacht viewing may differ from the arrival entrance. Check access instructions close to travel and allow time to walk from the yacht or exhibit to the car. A vehicle booking does not provide access to restricted show areas or authorize waiting at any entrance. If your guests are staying in the Las Olas area or on Fort Lauderdale Beach, use the hotel’s actual loading entrance rather than a broad neighborhood name.
Multi-day hourly service for exhibitor teams
Hourly charter suits an exhibitor schedule with several stops or a vehicle retained between appointments. Build a daily run sheet covering the first hotel pickup, team headcount, show destination, off-site meetings, meal stops and final return. Identify one coordinator who can approve changes and share the current itinerary. For several hotels, list the pickup order and passenger count at each stop. If people need to travel in different directions at the same time, ask for separate vehicles rather than overlapping one car’s schedule.
Reserve each day’s start time and expected finish separately. A morning airport transfer and an afternoon show block may be different bookings, depending on whether you need the vehicle retained between them. Clarify waiting time, overtime and itinerary changes in the written quote. Published hourly rates are $120 for a sedan, $150 for an SUV, $230 for an S-Class and $240 for a Sprinter, each with a three-hour minimum. The corresponding three-hour totals are $360, $450, $690 and $720. Review luggage and equipment requirements with dispatch before choosing a team vehicle.
Yacht broker client pickups
For broker appointments, create a client pickup record with the guest’s name, mobile number, hotel or airport, meeting time and the broker’s contact details. Specify whether the chauffeur should take the client to a hotel first or directly to the agreed show meeting point. Share enough itinerary information for the pickup without circulating sensitive transaction details. If a viewing moves to a different location, send the revised destination and entrance to dispatch before the guest boards.
A client program may include several yacht viewings, a lunch meeting and an evening return. Confirm which parts need a retained vehicle and which are single transfers. Point-to-point fares start at $130 for a sedan and $160 for an SUV; the actual itinerary receives its own quote. Do not assume those floors are a published fare for a particular airport or show venue. If a viewing runs late, contact dispatch early so the next pickup can be reviewed against the reservation.
Booking lead time before October 28
Request transportation as soon as your flights, hotel and first appointments are known. For multi-day exhibitor programs, start planning several weeks before the published opening date; if you are arranging travel in October, send the preliminary itinerary now. This is planning advice, and vehicle availability must be confirmed for your dates. A complete request is more useful than waiting until every meeting is settled: identify which pickups are firm and which hourly blocks still need review.
Before confirming, check the vehicle class, luggage capacity, daily start and finish times, pickup instructions and the written terms for changes or cancellation. Reconfirm the run sheet before the show begins, then keep one version shared by the coordinator and dispatch. Use the contact form for a multi-day plan or book a standard transfer through the reservation system. Include the published show dates, your own travel dates and the full itinerary so the quote covers the transportation you actually need.
